What we’ve done…
Established in 1996, multi-award winning onevalefan.co.uk hosts the SW Valiants supporters group and proudly sponsors Port Vale players and matches. We’ve raised £40,000 for the club through competitions and sponsorships. We’ve arranged matchday visits by club legends as well as organising book signings and charity fundraisers. In addition, we’ve raised money for local charity The Dougie Mac through a range of fundraisers.
We’ve published a book (“No Ordinary Season” if you’re interested) and curated a free exhibition of Port Vale memorabilia (2014’s Vale Vaults held at the Barewall Gallery, Burslem).
What they’ve said…
- “A must visit if you’re a Vale fan” – Soccersearch
- “One day, all sites will be this good” – Soccerlinks
- “One of the best fan sites I’ve seen anywhere” – Cod Almighty (Grimsby Town)
- “Consistently excellent” – the 200 percent blog
- “One of the few fan sites of real class” – Lost that Loving Feeling (Nottm Forest)
- “Reliable and amusing” – Rough Guide to English Football

This website has been in operation for over 30 years and has produced over 12,000 articles. It is, on the whole, a one man job without a subs desk or peer reviewing. OVF tries to prevent errors but inevitably some will occur. Over the years it has been moved from multiple servers and as a result, some older content may also need fixing – broken images, links or out of date facts may be in place.
If you spot anything please help us out by emailing the editor here including the URL of the page where the mistake is. Thanks!
