Port Vale Transfers News: Valiants bring back Connor Hall and sign Ben Amos
Port Vale have announced a double swoop by bringing in veteran goalkeeper Ben Amos and also bringing back crowd favourite defender Connor Hall.
Hall, 31, made 52 appearances in a previous spell at Vale Park and has signed a two-year deal for an undisclosed fee.
Amos, 34, has also agreed a two-year deal and is expected to provide competition for Connor Ripley.
The signing of Hall, in particular, will please fans who were hoping the club would sign a quality left-sided defender.
Manager Darren Moore commented: “We made the decision to bring in a goalkeeper that possesses the quality of Ben in order to enhance the competition for the number one spot.
“Connor brings with him a wealth of experience and a style of play that our supporters will already be familiar with.
“First and foremost, Connor is a leader, as proven after being named as Colchester United’s captain last season, who will bring great balance to our back line.
“He is comfortable with the ball at his feet, loves to defend and is a real threat in both boxes.

Looks as if the club means business with the new Signings. We seem to have bought in now a good spine to the team to our younger guys. Looking good.

A Good Double swoop of Experience and good reliable cover. Moore is putting a good stamp at getting a Decent squad and should be judged on his own assembly team.

Moore and his recruitment team certainly have the bit between their teeth with two more excellent pre season signings, all high quality for League 2 football. It’s looking very promising.
