Oh no, this really isn't good news. I love MA, but I was hoping he'd say no. I still won't attend the games even if MA comes back, but I can imagine at lot of other fans will return. We'll never get rid of the barstards.===

Exactly Trace!

I fear we are stuck with em for a long time if they get Micky back! ===

It's the worst news ever in a sense, we just need Mo to come and and publicly promise to back Micky with the cash when he takes over, Pratt and co still have to go and everyone remain strong and not buckle.

Why? Are the shareholders who hold the power to vote off the board going to be hoodwinked by Mickey becoming the manager again? Will he be able to suddenly make a million pound plus budget appear, will he be able to reduce the club debt or will he be a better manager with a board who can back him financially?

I think the people who hold the key can see past human shields and smokescreens now, the board are not saying anything as to why they should retain power just slandering people who can take us forward. We just have to be patient and see what happens at the EGM.

I also don't think we should be getting excited by a man returning who sh@t on us having actually achieved nothing. I think people feel because Micky got us playing with pride etc again that he was the Messiah, but that was more down to the fact we had been let down and disappointed so much by the previous managers and he was a breath of fresh air. He has just failed spectacularly at Sheffield United which perhaps shows his real qualities & he may not do anything second time around.

Really?! I think you've just made my week!

Made your week? Adams' return will almost certainly mean V2001 stay, condemning the club to a long term future that clearly isn't sustainable. The best we can hope for is promotion followed immediately by relegation straight back to League 2 because the board have no hope whatsoever of funding a League 1 side.

I know it doesn't affect people like you who chose to give your money to the board regardless of their conduct but it sticks in the craw somewhat to see you gloating about Adams' return when that very action is likely to keep V2001 in power and see hundreds, perhaps a thousand plus fans, turn their back on the club or at least home matches because they have the principles to refuse to give a failed, desperate board of directors any more financial support.

Far from making my week, I see this as a very, very sad day for Port Vale FC.

I don't want to lose our best players and Owen is one of our best players, so I make no apologies for being happy that he's making a u-turn.

To answer Davo80 - no I won't be supporting the board but I'm not a shareholder anyway so it's irrelevant.
