Just read on another thread that the Ameriturf deal has stalled/died due to lack of proof of funding!!

 

Anyone else heard anything?;)

 

Spoke to someone on EGM day, who basically said that astroturf companies in the US are like double glazing companies over here. The company in question was not a big player and there was a question of funding. So this would be no surprise.

Also, I believe the "done" AGS deal has stalled / died as they are struggling to provide proof of funding.

 

Don't think this is over, in fact we are only just getting started only now we know the board don't play by any rules which was a hard lesson learnt!

I really do hope this deal has stalled, I was never comfortable with it in the first place, all done for the wrong reasons and the negatives greatly outweighed any positives.

I heard the same thing last night. I've got no reason to doubt it.

 

A lot of things never stacked up with Ameriturf.

 

If you had a total of £500,000 up front to spend in your A&P budget to 'break' the UK market, why would you invest in shares in a fourth division football club?

 

In the run up London 2012, they could easily invest in some Olympic sports that actually play on astro.
