Theo and JJ are like two bald men fighting over a comb.

If only we were prepared to pay the going rate for a decent forward...

I really think JJ could step up with a proper run. He obviously understands football, Theo looks like a slightly taller Ben Williamson, he runs about (mainly chasing the ball after he has tried to control it) but ultimately we created very little apart from a glorious chance that he should have pulled back for AJ.

Hooper came on and within 5 minutes we'd had about 4-5 shots on goal, AJ was suddenly in the game, they were on the back foot having come out for the 2nd half and had a bit of a go at us.

Now I'm not saying Hooper will score 20 goals if he starts every game, I'm not saying he's the best forward I've ever seen, but I honestly see a player who has a footballing brain, and considering he's big and fast I'd be more than happy to see him in the team every week.

why take theo off? another garbage mistake by page IMO. another reason hes not good enough to manage.

I thought Theo was useless so it was the correct decision IMO. He another lightweight who doesn't offer enough. Now perhaps when he's match fit he may improve but time will tell.

Robinson, Hooper and Campion will never offer the threat we need. Ben Williamson was better.

They haven't played enough games yet for you to make that assumption. Hooper still looks decent to me and robinsons had what 4 games? Why not back the lads instead off branding them as crap straight away

I thought we'd lose this so a point was a bonus.

Once again Snurthwaite has taken any optimism out of the season with his threats. It's another 'waiting for the end of the season' scenario and hope he sells to someone that wants to be at the club.

The atmosphere yesterday was painful. Everyone knows we're doing nothing but ensuring we stay up.

Thankfully we're away next week so that I don't feel obligated to go.

Roll on the 26th against Southend in front of one man and a dog.

On the pitch I think we've done ok, after the end of season run in last year I'd take the two wins quickly and get to safety had you offered it me at the start of the season, the frustration is though as the season has panned out we could of got a lot more points than we have, games like the two against Coventry, Bradford at home etc most of the draws at home we had enough chances to win and more positivity away at places like Colchester and we could of really taken a play off spot minimum. We are just a good striker short as our build up play and defence has been fine (bar the spell when we haemorrhaged goals from corners)

At the start we were third favourites to go down. We are now 150/1 so I'm satisfied but a little frustrated at the missed opportunity.

Quite simply because it seems like a large minority on here prefer to be negative all the time!!

Where I have called them crap? How do you know I didn't back the two lads yesterday, I clapped them on and off the pitch just like all the other players. I simply stated that they aren't going to offer the threat we need and yesterday's performance tends to back my opinion and it is an opinion I made, not an assumption, two very different things. Get your facts right before posting any more criticism.

It's a distinct lack of goals that has thwarted our progress and true potential this season. With a more consistent goal threat, we'd be cemented into the PO spots. Robinson and Hooper don't look like they've got the answer to this problem and even AJ offered little threat yesterday.

AJ has done better than we thought, to be fair, but Uche ultimately failed and went back, and we haven't found other players who are capable of scoring goals.

Scoring is a skill and you can't coach a player to score goals. It's a natural talent that you have or haven't got, like the lad Dack at the Gills.

We simply don't have players like that and unless you count AJ it's hard to list any more goalscoring players in the team.

But we knew that last summer, despite some on here claiming that we wouldn't miss the 3 lads who left because the others would step up to the plate. It hasn't happened.

I think it was Martin Foyle who described Bridgy as a game changer. We don't have players like that in our team any more. They cost money and are like diamonds, but it's the difference between mid table and in the top six.

It is irrelevant now but I suspect had we still got Pope and Marshall we'd perhaps be in the top six.

From what I've seen, just a couple of quality players is the difference between most sides in this league.

Again, I think I must watch a completely different game to some. I thought Theo was ok, I thought JJ was slightly better but arguably AJLS had has worst game since becoming a regular, although their centre halves had very good games. It was frustrating the number of times we got into good crossing positions and either failed to beat the first man or just over hit them. Again, it was frustrating that we never looked threatening off set plays.

It will be interesting to see which Vale turns up at Sheffield. I would start JJ over Theo, have Kennedy and AJLS playing off him and keep a compact midfield 3 of Brown, Folely and Grant.
