Question then:

Would you have preferred all of the retained list to sign or go for this new approach?

Bare in mind last season we bottled the biggest games and went out of the cup in a embarrassing fashion.

Will let you know at the end of the season.

Could we have a bit of both?

If we'd of kept the majority of the retained list, we would of ended up mid table at best.

We're now starting the season with the unknown factor, we havent got a clue how it's going to pan out so opposition teams won't have a clue what they will be facing for the first few weeks.

It could be a disaster, or it could be a masterstroke. If Norman's willing to increase the budget, he may come across as crazy sometimes, but surely he's done his research and spoken to people "in the know".

As with any young unknown signings, some may flop as they do at any level in a new league and country, but we may also find a star.

Id prefer a well balanced mix with players who have experience of the English league.

11 according to Bruno's maths!

so 13 then?

My problem with these signings are we are going to end up with 7 young lads who have never played in England and are going to be dropped in to Stoke on Trent not knowing the area or the culture of the UK, not knowing anyone and having no friends or family here. Will they settle and more importantly are they all going to become a team from now until the 6th of August.

We really do need a couple of experienced British type players to make up the back bone of the team but I don’t see this happening with loans.
