The Next England Manager

The more I think about it the more I would like to see Slaven Bilic be offered the opportunity. He speaks perfect English, knows our game inside out, and on the whole did a terrific job with Croatia for a while. He's also a motivator and has the ability to get the best out of players, two attributes you couldn't attribute to Roy Hodgson. I also wouldn't be against giving Glenn Hoddle another go. He knows the game and I think the players would really enjoy playing for him which can't be said for our last manager who played people out of there favoured position a lot. The biggest concern of course being he's been out of the game for so long.

It absolutely must not be Gareth Southgate - That will only end in tears I'm afraid.

Some people are so narrow minded, they forget the quality Bolton side he had with okocha, Gardner, gudjohnson, djorkaeff, Ivan campo, Mario jardel and also the forward thinking of big Sam which basically set the precedent for every premier league club with regards to heart monitor , opta stats etc.

Great appointment and works with the tools at his disposal. Sunder land are hardly long ball, they have Defoe as the main forward.

Sam has done well everywhere he has been. Actually exceeded expectations.

Apart from Newcastle. Who are an absolute joke of a club and up until now havent let a manager manage.

His teams mix good football with game management.

The man is a perfect fit for England. And why????

Because, quite frankly, we are the Sunderland of international football right now.

If you cannot see we need someone like Sam to bring pride back to our national game, youre deluded.

But dont be mistaken in that he is a thick, longball northerner who scrapes results.

He is a quality manager.

And a million times better than that wet fish Hodgson.

Please don't let it be Sam Allardyce. He had a chance to step up at Newcastle and made an abomination of the job. He's good for keeping Premier League clubs up but that's far different than actually progressing our national team.

Jurgen Klinsmann would be ideal. Speaks better English than most English managers such as Big Sam, the players would enjoy playing for him and he's done a cracking job on the International scene with USA already. If the new manager has to be English I'd much prefer Pardew or Redknapp than Allardyce.

Fergie is promoting Big Sam for the job.
