He was my preferred choice. He likes to play with pace and get the ball in the box. Possession percentage isn't the be all and end all for him which we really need to get over in this country. He's shown in the past that when he has good players, he can produce good football to watch. I have no doubt we'll get good results with him, but he needs to win some people over with the style element which I also believe he can do. Results are all that matter in tournaments.

Picking managers that have won things (Revie, Robson, Capello, Erikson, Venables, Hoddle etc..even Hodgson and McClaren had won thngs) hasn't done us much good since Sir Alf. Ok we tried Keegan the great motivator but he had no real track record at all.

Not my preferred choice but we've not chosen his 'type' before so worth a go...from his reputation he'll not take any **** from the players, he'll get them organised, he'll pick who he wants, he'll change things if its not working and I've just heard from Nostradamus that it will either work or it won't.
