I am an avid reader but rare poster on this site, but I cannot believe the attitude of some people on this site, it would seem that they condone racism as part of their agenda to hit the Board. At every opportunity they abuse people who do not agree with them and seem to be able to get away with personal abuse, whereas others receive warnings for one reply.

Let me from the start state my position I am not a ‘Board Lover’ people who post on this site know that to be true, I spoke out against Gannon from the start, horrible player and seemingly not a nice person, again known by some on here to be true, and I would welcome change, be it Mo or someone else and the sooner the better!

However, to the main point in my 50 years of supporting Port Vale I have never seen a situation like this we have players ‘fighting’ with fans, we have a Manager fighting with his Assistant, we have fans fighting with other fans, we have a board fighting with anyone who threatens their little ‘Empire’ what does the future hold. On the latest incident I don’t care if it is one or a hundred fans who shouted racial abuse they are out of order and it needs cutting out as it is like a cancer and swiftly spreads. For those that ‘did not’ hear it I was not at the match but know someone who was and they clearly heard it on several different occasions! Racial abuse is racial abuse and cannot be tolerated whatever agenda it may or may not suit.

Exodus Geohaghon plays for Port Vale he wears the Vale shirt, the fact he plays is down to the Manager, I must say I have felt that the abuse he takes is totally disproportionate to the way he has played, was he the worst during the Oxford match? However, because he is seen as Gannon’s signing the hate of the Manager is shown through the abuse he receives. However, in the 21st Century racial abuse should not be tolerated and to say that it is a minority is very true but it is quite a large minority and seems to be growing, as does the minority! who chanted sexist remarks at the last match.

Overall though surely the main question is how is Port Vale viewed to the outside world, a bunch of knuckle dragging inbreds? A racist club? Who knows, but what I honestly believe is that the Club I have loved and supported through thick and thin is now the laughing stock of the Football League. Let’s sort it out now before it is too late. To the Board hand over the reins and quickly to someone with professional integrity who can take this club forward. To the players fight for Port Vale and its supporters you are paid to play for Port Vale play for them regardless of the Manager, to the supporters get behind your team encourage them not abuse them, stop using the club for your own personal vendettas whilst they are playing, protest afterwards at the board the manager but not the players and certainly not because of the colour of their skin.

Rant over and I feel a lot better now!!

In amongst all the disgraceful scenes from Saturday, one incident seems to have been overlooked and that's Tomlinson finding it highly amusing to throw and kick the ball repeatedly at speed towards disabled supporters in the main stand at Accrington, causing clear distress to one supporter in the front row in particular. Unfortunately Martin, Tomlinson and a handful of Vale fans seemed to find the whole thing hilarious. It continued until the disabled supporter in a wheelchair moved to further up the stand to get out of the way. Just another example of the lack of professionalism from people supposed to be representing the good name of Port Vale.

I've only seen him twice, and I didn't think he played that bad against Bradford.

He's limited, but so is pretty much every player in League Two. They all have there strengths and weaknesses.

One thing for sure is that he's no 'anchor' playing midfielder, but he didn't pick himself to play there on the occasions he did.

I heard isolated racist insults too. Just before I left. It goes without saying that a lot of the youngsters were well "refreshed" before and at half time. This, however, is no excuse for the abuse aimed at Ex.

According to the majority of the idiots on here, Exodus was at fault for starting on the fans well why was he doing that, do we know what was said to him, all manner of things would have been said and he lost it and it's probably understandable.

As was obviously going to be the case :)

'Moral do gooders'? What the **** is that supposed to mean? What a stupid and idiotic term to use; it doesn't even make sense. Are you referring to people who are saying that they think it's disgusting to see supposed fans screaming abuse at one of our own players, making his own girlfriend cry, boo when his name's read out at the start of a game, heckle his every touch and generally slate the guy no matter what he does? Are they 'moral do gooders'? If so, count me in; I'd prefer to be one of them than a knuckle-dragging halfwit who can do nothing else but yell negative **** at an ever increasing series of our own players.

As a Stanley fan says...

Spot on.

great post mr.h,count me in as a 'moral do gooder' as well!! can't believe our fans let the vale down so dreadfully!! I'm pretty sure ALL of our players would have been ashamed of those fans at accrington-out of order!!!
