They didn’t concede 4 though? It’s clear the defence has some big issues. This hasn’t been a one off. We have conceded way too many goals so far this season. Not a one off.

Inconsistent i'm afraid early days in this league. What did we expect. The results speak for themselves, outstanding playing away at Derby then demolished at out of form Oxford. It certainly doesn't help losing players to injuries Wilson yet again Proctor etc. Now we lose Ellis Harrison. We need to make certain changes in the January Window for sure.

Well that’s a sh!f result if ever there was one. But with Bodin lining up against us we should have seen what was coming (doesn’t he always score against us). Onto next week.

Awful game.

But short termism isn’t helpful. We are 9 points off relegation and 5 points off the playoffs in our first season back in league 1. 

Lots of posters on here have the ability to lose their head big time. Last season is proof (remember when some numpty wanted crosby to be sacked 😂)

Be angry at the performance by all means, but remember the longer term view and try (please) to avoid sweeping statements about everything being doomed!

You're not wrong. But Harrison, Wilson and Butterworth are all fairly good players. Politic has talent. We don't score many because we play with 5 at the back more often than not and with our formation we're rarely going to create bundles of chances. But our back line is worrisome enough to cause sleepless nights. I think at the moment we have to be picking Connor Hall just for a bit of height if nothing else.

George Graham was successful with not changing his back four. From my experience of playing football, the back four develop an understanding through telepathy. The Walsall fans did warn us that this would happen.

Fair doos, we're all hoping for the best, but I am genuinely trying to look at the overall picture.  It's such a tight division, in a glass half-full view we're only 5 points away from the top seven. On the other hand, we're only marginally above the bottom 4 and have one of the worst goal difference stats outside the bottom four.  You can't just dismiss the defeat kast week in the cup as it's part of the pattern and we have let in 9 goals in last 3 games. Yes, <ovf censored> happens, but recent injuries I believe, have exposed a kack of qualty depth in our current squad.
