Chesterfields is £49.99 ouch. May be a higher cost but hopefully quality to match.

Wigans, also Puma, was 47 quid. So I guess it's down to how much the club wants to profit of it.

If ours will be 50 as well, that's a 25 pct increase over 2 seasons. From 40, to 44 and then 50. But let's see how it plays out 🙂

If its like everything else at the moment - it will be stuff the buyer - we will put it up and make the most off them.

Please Carol think of the fans struggling with all the bills that have stupidly gone up and be sensible about the price.  If they don't and follow the trend of hiking up bills, I don't see how fans can buy the home and away kits like they have done in previous years.

Remember we need to have a third choice as well... That's potentially 150 quid on shirts you need to fork out, if you like to collect them all like me... (135 with ST discount). That's a lot of cash! 🤨

Isn't it normally change 2 and carry one shirt over from the previous season?

But thinking if we are changing provider, then yep it will be 3 shirts and if you have kids they may also want shirts as well.

Bare in mind that you could get all 3 strips for £50 towards the end of the season

If you are collecting all shirts and you don't want to pay full price you can just wait until closer to the end of the season.

I have a friend that loves the Vale but doesn't have much money and he gets every shirt once they go on sale

You like to collect every strip but to enable you to do that you want to reduce the clubs commercial income and correspondingly reduce the finance we have available for the playing budget?!!

Where do I say I want to reduce it? All I'm saying is, that 150 punds is a lot of money?

I'll buy them regardless, but for many people there's a pain threshold of how much they're willing or able to pay. And if you have to get them for your kids as well, it just adds up. I know we're nowhere near how much PL kits costs, upwards of 100 punds, which is absolutely stupid money, and is, in my humble opinion, one of the reasons why fakes a thriving.

The mark up on football shirts are horrendous as it is, in the thousands of pct. which is why I condone those buying fakes at a fraction of the price!
It's about finding that golden spot, where the club makes their money, but the fans don't feel exploited. We've had record sales for 2 years running now. So would you rather sell 4000 shirts at 50 punds, or 6000+ at 44 punds? I know which one I would choose 🙂

Probably is the keeper kits have been so nice in recent seasons especially with short sleeves so can easily end up with 6 tops! Great marketing by the club to go short sleeved on the keeper tops in fairness.

Be interesting to see how Puma stack up for quality, the designs of the warm up gear and walk out jackets have been very good with Errea even if the quality hasn’t always been the best but I’ve ended up spending a fortune on it all.

Be good to see what their offering is like in the coming weeks.

We may not have a third kit, we didn’t in the first season Carol and Kevin were in charge and in fairness the third kit has been the previous years away kit so has only been 2 new kits each summer the last 2 or 3 seasons.

Will depend largely on away kit colour as if it’s blue/black you generally need a third because of clashing with stripes. If it’s gold/purple/pink/orange you can get away with two.

If you look at other Puma clubs similar to us, their warm up gear is just another line of training wear. So not as exciting and bespoke as Errea...

Aside from kits, when I go in the shop presently I struggle to find tee-shirts etc. That's because I have bought a lot of stuff. What I'm saying is the whole stock line needs a refresh. Being critical, Autonet take up space. I realise there may be commercial reasons, but zero chance I will buy it.
