Smith's mistake against Lincoln was bad but it's getting to the point of 'my Dad's a toolmaker'. His detractors must mention it three times a day.

It was a rare mistake by a centre back who has played around 36,000 minutes of football and rarely ballses up. To keep going on about it, and not any other mistakes, only reinforces the fact that he rarely makes them so they have to incessantly repeat the few he does.

I see a lot of talk about Nathan Smith. Not read it all but I’ll say this….. 

Hes been with us ten years and at no point have we looked like losing him to a higher club or actually any other club. 
 

He isn’t that good.

Clearly no lessons have been learned about getting strikers in. We need 3 and so far not even a sniff of anyone. I suspect it’s because even a good league 2 striker will want £4,000 a week.

Wouldn't of minded Tommy Rowe although do we actually need him. Probably not given as we are okay in midfield goals department ( touch wood ).

Football is all about how players connect .

You could sign 10 players and they all hate one another but come  15.00 sat they connect for a few hrs and the football club reaps the rewards through more folk wanting watch them .

It's no good being a nicey nicey club where everyone likes one another as then like Vale the players lack the bite to win football games .

I hope Curtis and Ryan connect and bring better performances out of the others in there area of the field .

So why would we go with same defence ,we shouldn't but maybe the players lined up can improve  the defenders Moore keeps or he be going the same way as many others .

The Kane error was poor. The Smith one you would struggle to see at Trubshaw Cross. It was unbelievably bad. 

Stones did just that, and a few other England players gave it a good go!
