Problem is that apart from the kids the established players, good and bad, will already be on a league 1 level wage.  I do however feel that the owners are going to push the boat out a bit to ensure we’re at least competitive, at least the signings so far point this way.

I’m fairly certain there will have been a relegation clause in the contracts for a pay cut in the event that we go down.

We’re being linked with a loan love for Man City youngster Kian Breckin. Had a spell at Wycombe last season but only managed a couple of league games. 20 years old, been at City since he was 9. A cultured attacking midfielder who is good with the ball in tight spaces apparently. Well that’s the description from his parent club anyway 😅

I d be amazed if that was the case.... I d logically assume that from our income set amounts are allocated for the playing side of things, youth development, ground improvements, community activities, ladies teams, etc. Not to use the full allocated amount for the playing side of things would be strange to me.

I m sure we will have a smaller allocated playing side of things budget this year based on the £1m reduction in income. League 2 clubs paying league 1 wages is a rocky road to go down.

That dodgy transfer account on Twitter has yet another £500k Vale sale to "report"

The last two were Nathan Smith to Plymouth then to Stockport so I take this one about Ethan Chislett with a pinch of salt. 

Afterall, I think this is the same site which said that Dipepa would be sold to Palace a few weeks ago and it never happened so I think 99.9% of their stories are rubbish...

Whilst it is highly likely a load of rubbish - I think it would be a great deal for the club to get £500k for a player we signed on a free 12 months ago.....however, with only 1 year left on his deal, I can't see that type of bid coming in for him. I'm keen for him to stay with us though
