You'd expect Stockley to be the "1" or the central striker in a 3.

But then I'd estimate we've spent £200k+ on Tolaj so can't see him warming the bench. Would be criminal to force him to play out wide.

 

Depends on where the width comes from in a 343. 433 is normally 1 centreforward and 2 wingers, with 2 of the midfield players pushing into inside forward roles. 343 you either have 2 wingers with midfield/wingbacks pushing into the inside forward position or 2 of the forwards playing as inside forwards and the wingbacks staying out wide. Dipepa does quite well in an inside forward position, although with England he was an out and out 9. I don't know if Tolaj likes running the channels,  or if he's purely a back to goal, hold the ball up player. Moore said in his interview they had a plan on how they would use Dipepa next season, which would imply he intends to play him. It's hard to see how he fits Curtis, Dipepa,  Chislett,  Stockley and Tolaj in the same side. Garrity is easy as he can function as a 10 and in a deeper midfield position, although I personally think he best as a 10 or an 8 in a 3 man midfield. What makes him special is his goals and you lose that in a central midfield 2. The reality is after the first 3 or 4 games there will be injuries and you'd expect most of the 6 to play most of the games.

I'm delighted by this signing more than any other up to yet add a leader at the back and I'll be even more delighted .

I wouldn't be surprised if the captain is announced today or tomorrow as most folk will renew today on yesterday's signing .

Why because hard working  folk love a story of a player like say Ian Taylor coming from (non league)Moor Green and being terrific for us .

My comment was very much tongue in cheek as some were saying no way will the budget be the same as in League One,my argument was that the least it will be is the same no matter what revenue we have lost,she is backing DM to have a go at it

Imo we wont be bringing in Paton now(if we were interested),we will bring in a loan forward I think and another permanent one IF Dipepa does leave.

Just watched Tolaj highlights and he looks some player. It's nice that we're starting to wonder about how to fit all of the players in rather than how to not play them all! 😂

Another center half and a sub keeper and things are looking pretty good!!

I do like the look of that team as it stands mate but as you say I think that will change as my guess would be that a CB and a keeper will be next on the hit list
