I'm still buzzing from the events of this week. 

It's obvious that Darren and his management team are all over the remaining deficiencies in our squad, and I can't wait to see who arrives next, given the quality of all of the new players so far.

Tolaj had 19 according to Wikipedia. Baylee didn’t really have much of a season plus the experience he will have had playing in the Euros. Until I see Stockley and Tolaj play for the Vale I would rather start with Dipepa. I’ve seen Stockley play a number of times and I know what he can do but I’ve never seen Tolaj play

Like to see a right back/ RWB come in. I like Clarke but be surprised if he’s fit for more than half the season.

The fact we’ve signed 2 goalscorers & paid fees for them suggests the gaffer either doesn’t see him as a starter or he’s being sold to me. I’d like him to stay myself & play a part that’s for sure. We’ll find out in the next few weeks anyways mate

yes hughes and haldane were sharp and I remember Ian Armstrong was rapid but always injured….

I loved watching Armstrong play growing up. Class player, was a shame his injures led to his career ending at just the age of 23

I never considered Ainsworth as rapid…. Or Guppy or Mccarthy which is strange really for wide players of that era.

Naylor was sharper still during contract negotiations!!

Ainsworth was just relentless. By far my fave player of all time as a Vale fan. You don’t see many wingers like him these days. The way he just went past players 😍
