Agreed. Maybe a young keeper on loan & a young striker but I don’t think we’ll particularly need to dip into the loan market. All will depend on whatever outgoings there is

When Chamberlain and Sealy were in the same side Chamberlain was quicker over 20m plus but Sealy was very sharp over 5m. Both were quick.

What about Smith (Paul I think), a winger we had back in the late eighties signed from Sheff Utd and later sold on to Lincoln for a profit - my recollection he could've shown Usain Bolt a clean pair of heels ? I remember us punting long silly balls up into the corners for him to chase and 9/10 times he'd get there before a defender - sadly, as I recollect, there wasn't alot else to his game.

Rumours are around 200-400k but just rumours 🤷‍♂️

Think it was Paul and he played for Lincoln for a long time. He also had a decent shot and scored a few for us. I was sad when he left, although I think we sold him to fund the signing of .... Darren Hughes. He was eventually replaced by Ford later in the season I think.

Rumours were that Josh Stokes went from Aldershot to Bristol City for 250k. No idea if the rumour is true about a buyout clause in the contract. I think Stokes was slightly more highly rated but I'd guess that would be a reasonable estimate, possibly with a sell on clause.

A volunteer who works at Aldershot said it was 300k

I'd be surprised if Clark, Smith and Hart don't start the first game. 

You’ve hit the nail on the head.  We’ve got a glut of young talent to be given as many minutes as possible, although we may see a few of the kids loaned out for more guaranteed games, plus Dipepa is likely to leave, so as it stands I don’t see the point in loans unless some special talent becomes available, or we suffer a long term injury.

On that last point, we need a bit of luck as is the case every season.
