Well the reality is, one striker will get injured and despite all the Loft hate, he certainly didn’t down tools and if he works hard with a full pre season he can certainly be better than last season in a lower league. He didn’t get many guys getting crosses in and I feel that he probably would have looked far more effective with a Worrall type player in the team. 
 

Still feel we need one more striker and Loft can prove himself in Pizza Cup games.

I agree in the fact that we need one more forward and i still think that will be a loan signing

I see the rumours about Smudger joining Stockport for £500k are doing the rumours again today.

Just been speaking to my m8 who's got the contacts at the club - he's just put a call in to check this and, as expected, as a pile of old cobblers.

In it, Moore says he would like one or two more (I guess any more than that depends on shifting some out). He also makes mention of giving the team the "right balance" which seems to suggest he is looking at the positions most of us have already suggested - centre-back and full-back cover I would guess.

How nice is it to be signing a former Ireland International (Curtis) and a Swiss player who has scored for all of their youth teams, including 8 in a single game? At the back end of last season when we were relegated and everything seemed doom and gloom, I thought we would be lucky to sign Steptoe and Son this summer. Guess it shows the pull of having Darren Moore as manager.

Yeah, against Gibraltar. I know they are pants, but Ikpeazu wouldn't have scored 8 goals if he had stood on the goal line and there were no linesmen.

Think his record at international level is 12 caps 12 goals. I could be wrong on that but if it’s correct that’s a fantastic return

I will always remember him for his reaction when a nearly empty coke bottle was thrown in his direction celebrating a late goal for Swindon in our infamous 3-2 win. His reaction to that giving it the large one and trying to take the piss is one which will it be forgot nor his expression at the end of the game walking down the tunnel when he had lost…. somethings are worth the entry fee. His face at the end of the game was that day 😀

Wasn't that also the game that produced the legendary slide down the Lorne Street side by DC after our winning goal?
