that performance was pathetic and we were lucky to get a point, Denmark should have won that game. Doesn’t matter who we were playing, it was awful, how many bad passes? And forever going backwards when often easier to go forward. I think you will be in a massive minority if you think that performance was acceptable.

Don’t know about Rashford but Grealish would have been a massive improvement on what we had on display tonight, I really don’t see Bowen being as good as him or Palmer. Southgate should have taken a chance and brought Palmer on for Bellingham.

Grealish is awful. Just rolls around getting free kicks whilst slowing the game down. I’m glad he’s been left at home. Far too pedestrian & predictable, I agree on Bowen. He should be nowhere near in front of the likes of palmer, Gordon & Eze

Take Trent out altogether. That’s the biggest mistake he’s made so far. That one change will balance the squad much better. 
Then you can put Bellingham next to Rice with license to roam. Then the best premier league player in Foden can play in his natural position just behind Kane and then take your pick on the left with Eze or Gordon. 
Palmer becomes a fantastic option off the bench. 
Mainoo is a young sitting midfielder. If he starts you have to drop Bellingham or Foden or at least put one of them out of position.

Also, picking out individuals, I thought Rice was absolutely dreadful. Along with Stones. 
They are the start of the attack and they were casually swinging their foot with every pass from minute one. In Rices case he couldn’t pass wind tonight.

Mainoo & Jude deeper then? Trent definitely needs benching he shouldn’t be in the starting 11 I don’t mind him as a squad player but there’s far better players we have to impact the game from the start. Saka shows glimpses here & there id prob give Gordon a run out for him next match or Palmer

Anthony Gordon was one of the better players in the debacle against Iceland yet he hasn’t had a kick yet. That’s one of Southgate’s major mistakes. What he cannot be blamed for however, is the fact that some of the best players in our country are struggling to pass wind and are making mistake after mistake.

Just listening to an interview with Southgate in which he says " We have no natural replacement for Kalvin Phillips " Right thats that then, I understand why we are so inept.

True. I was going to say Mainoo gets in advanced positions for united & scores goals. We all know Jude is capable of it.

Why do we need a replacement? We have a holding midfielder in Rice, why does he insist on playing 2? Can’t think of any other teams that do that. He is so negative! I could understand it if we were Scotland playing against far better teams.
