Euro 2024

Recommended Posts

It’s interesting how so many of the favoured nations have been below their best. England have struggled. France have managed an own goal and a penalty. The Germans needed an added time goal to get a draw against the Swiss. Italy barely crossed the half way line against Spain and Portugal losing to Georgia. Belgium with their own golden generation have been pants. Only Spain have looked the real deal. It looks to me like the so called big nations have been scared of losing will the so called minnows have played with nothing to lose and gone muck or nettles.

The Championship is a lower league.

Not to us Vale fans. Maybe for the prawn sandwich Premiership club supporters. He also took a fairly naff Newcastle team in to the Champions league.

Let's be honest England are no worse in there display than Belgium dire,France slow ,Netherlands poor defensively .

I've enjoyed the minnows performances more the likes of Georgia Austria and Romania .

It's about pride in the shirt these 3 mentioned and a few more of the euro minnows have lit up quite a boring tournament

Maybe an element of scared to lose. Some of the smaller teams have very much parked the bus defensively.

Opened up beautifully for England ( again ! ) .

Bookies remarkably have us as favourites still .

Slovakia will be organised and stubborn.

Have visions of huffing and puffing again with an inability to break them down.

Can't see it being a pretty spectacle.

I’m going to be positive here but I saw plenty of signs in the 2nd half on Tuesday night that we can turn this around and make the impact everyone is crying out for.

Mainoo comes on and I noticed an improvement.

Palmer comes on and the improvement comes on again.

Same again with Gordon even though that was left very late when he came on.

If those 3 start on Sunday, we will win at a canter

I agree about the positivity 2nd half.

Maybe those 3 will make the difference.

Our best performances seem reserved for teams who have a go.

Slovakia definitely won't fall into that category.

Georgia Were Fabulous ! They upset Ronaldo ! - And Belgium's Kevan De Bruyne Had to 'Cowardly' Resort to 'Keeping it in the Corner Time Wasting Tactic' near the end of their match. They were booed off the pitch by their own Fans, as the team went to applaud them.
